Laughter, Friendship, Memories
There are some sessions that linger long after the camera is packed away, and this year’s Northridge High School Homecoming shoot was one of those unforgettable afternoons. The sun hadn’t yet started to set when a group of friends burst onto the scene, their laughter tumbling out as brightly as the gowns they wore. As they gathered under the trees and took turns teasing one another about their dance moves, inside jokes, and last-minute makeup mishaps, it was clear these weren’t just portraits—they were memories in the making.
Between poses, the girls nudged and encouraged each other, erupting into giggles that made it nearly impossible to keep a straight face. There was one moment when, prompted by a shared joke, the whole group doubled over in laughter, and in that instant I was able to snap the kind of shots that only real friendship brings out. It’s those honest, unguarded moments—when the world falls away and only joy remains—that create the images I love to share.
As I work through these photos, I find myself smiling right along with them, eager for everyone to see the spirit and energy that made this session so special.
